Deary perform at Rough Trade Bristol on 3 September 2026, with special guests.

Comprised of London/Brighton-based musicians Dottie Cockram, Ben Easton and Harry Catchpole, Deary released their debut single, 'Fairground', in January 2023 via Sonic Cathedral. Since then they have supported Slowdive and Cranes and worked with Saint Etienne and The Murder Capital.

With their debut album Birding, the London dream pop trio have evolved their sound, opting for starker lyrics and heavier instrumentation than on their previous releases. They chose the title to draw attention to the direct impact humans have on the world around us, whether that is nature or ourselves.

The album invites the listener to pause, reflect and recalibrate, and to remember the good, happiness and love that can be forgotten in everyday life. It addresses the importance of protecting the inner child or someone more vulnerable, holding hands and learning from past mistakes. Across 11 tracks, Birding spans shoegaze and ethereal indie.
