Lowertown

On 25 September 2026 Lowertown, an Atlanta duo formed by singer‑songwriter Olivia Osby and multi‑instrumentalist Avsha Weinberg, will perform at Circolo Arci Bellezza in Milan. Born out of home recordings, the project has shifted from lo‑fi bedroom pop to a more nervous indie rock: scratchy guitars, rhythms that verge on post‑punk, and spare acoustic pauses.

With the EP The Gaping Mouth (2021) and the album I Love to Lie (2022), released on Dirty Hit, the duo consolidated a two‑voice songwriting approach in which introspective lyrics about anxiety, relationships and urban life intertwine with stark sonic contrasts. Live, Lowertown often takes the stage with an expanded band that pushes the songs into a more direct dimension than the studio versions, without losing the rough, intimate aesthetic that defines them. Between spoken fragments, suspended melodies and louder, noisier surges, the live set alternates tension and release, with Olivia front and center on vocals and Avsha layering guitars and textures, rendering a crisp portrait of their sonic universe.
