JJ, aka Johannes Pietsch, brings on 30 September 2026 to the Plaza Club in Zurich his blend of contemporary pop structure and a classically trained voice. Born in 2001 in Vienna and of Austrian–Philippine descent, the singer relies on a striking countertenor that carries his songs forward with precision. Shaped by years in Dubai, family karaoke and training at the opera school of the Vienna State Opera as well as at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, he links pop melody with an operatic approach to phrasing.

JJ became known in 2020 through The Voice UK and in 2021 on Starmania in Austria. In 2025 he represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Wasted Love”, co-written with Teya and Thomas Thurner, and won the competition. His repertoire to date revolves around a few clearly defined singles — including “Back to Forgetting” and “Haunting Me” (both 2025) — and leads in 2026 to the EP “Into the Unknown”. Live, that means compact, direct songs in which the voice is central, sitting between pop hook and lyrical tension.
