Helicon

Helicon was formed by brothers John-Paul and Gary Hughes in East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland. Known for the intensity of their live shows, their sound blends psychedelia, electronica, guitars and sitars with a spirit of countercultural experimentation. Since signing to Fuzz Club in 2017, their music has featured on BBC Radio 6 Music, and they have collaborated with Tony Doogan (Mogwai / Delgados / Belle & Sebastian / David Byrne), Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3 / The Brian Jonestown Massacre / Spiritualized / Dead Skeletons), and Mark Gardener (Ride). Helicon and Floral Image perform at 100 Club on Friday 25 September 2026 at 6:30 pm.

There is a sense of mischief and daydreaming to the character of Floral Image, on display across their recordings, a reflection of both the playful fraternity of band members Fergus Nolan (vocals, guitars), Jack Warner (vocals, keys), Matt Kennedy (bass guitar), Mitch Forsyth (drums, visuals), and Phil Whitton (guitars, visuals), and the weaving textures they make together.
