Illa J steps in as rapper, singer and producer, a musician who moves between laid‑back verses and melodic hooks. Brother to J Dilla yet carving his own lane, he blends rap, soul and funk, drawing from albums like Yancey Boys, Illa J and John Yancey. On stage he favours smooth keys, warm basslines and reflective writing, shaping songs that lean into groove without losing focus.
Frank N Dank—Frank Nitt and Dankery Harv—carry a partnership forged in Detroit’s mid‑90s circles. Longtime collaborators of J Dilla, they trade bars with straight‑ahead impact, tight phrasing and dry humour. Their sound sticks to mid‑tempo beats, chopped soul and simple hooks, a back‑and‑forth built for the stage.
