Japan’s SiM brings its shape-shifting heavy sound to London on 21 May 2026 at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road. Formed in Shonan in 2004, the quartet — MAH (vocals), SHOW-HATE (guitar), SIN (bass) and GODRi (drums) — folds metalcore and nu metal into flashes of ska punk, reggae rock, dub and hip-hop. Live, they move from dense, down-tuned riffs and syncopated grooves to springy upstrokes and cavernous bass, locking into melodic choruses without sanding off the grit.

The set draws on Playdead and earlier releases like The Beautiful People, alongside the anime themes The Rumbling and Under the Tree that carried their sound to a wider crowd. SiM’s onstage dynamic is about contrast and momentum: breakdowns that thud then flip into quick tempo shifts, ragga-inflected flows snapping into serrated screams and clean vocal hooks. It’s a lean, kinetic take on modern heavy music, sharpened over years of touring at home and abroad, and primed for a London crowd.
