Skinshape, the studio project of British musician and producer William Dorey, plays The Mod Club in Toronto on July 11, 2026. Dorey stitches together 60s/70s funk and reggae with soul, psych rock, afrobeat, folk and a taste for library music, favoring warm, analog textures. His songs balance ease and detail, built on supple basslines, hazy guitars and patient grooves that invite you in rather than push.

Former bassist of Palace and founder of the reggae label Horus Records, Dorey brings a collector’s ear to his set, letting the bass breathe and the details carry the room.
