Info

Josiah and the Bonnevilles brings a lean, story-first take on Americana and indie folk to The Deaf Institute in Manchester on 2 November 2026. Led by Tennessee songwriter Josiah Leming, the project moves between solo and band formats, with songs built around voice, acoustic guitar and understated arrangements that keep the words in focus. The writing circles small-town life, travel, relationships and that tug-of-war between staying rooted and taking off, blending country hues with a contemporary folk feel.

After early years under his own name and a stint inside the pop industry, Leming shaped Josiah and the Bonnevilles in the mid-2010s and has since honed the approach across Country Songs (2022) and Endurance (2023). Live, the set shifts from hushed ballads to more rhythmic strums, keeping space for detail and narrative to breathe. It’s a straightforward, intimate show where melody and storytelling do the heavy lifting, carrying a bit of East Tennessee into the room without the gloss.
