Info
On September 14, 2026, at the Ritz PDB in Montreal, Damien Jurado will be on stage. A fixture of the Seattle scene since the mid-1990s, he has carved out a distinctive line between indie folk, indie rock and lo-fi songwriting. Spotted by Sub Pop after his early cassette releases, he has recorded albums that blend spare narratives and acoustic melodies — from Waters Ave S. and Rehearsals for Departure to more electric turns like I Break Chairs. After moving to Secretly Canadian, he broadened his palette with Saint Bartlett and then the trilogy conceived with Richard Swift, from Maraqopa to Visions of Us on the Land, where his narrative folk opens up to more psychedelic, dreamlike hues. In recent years, on his own Maraqopa Records label, he has released The Monster Who Hated Pennsylvania, Reggae Film Star and Sometimes You Hurt the Ones You Hate. In concert, Jurado draws on this abundant repertoire to unfold songs of restrained tension, driven by guitar and meticulously crafted songwriting.
The evening will also feature St. Yuma.
