Kraak & Smaak

Dutch trio Kraak & Smaak land at Village Underground, London, on 27 November 2026 with a set where nu-disco, house and broken beat meet funk and soul. Producers Oscar de Jong, Wim Plug and Mark Kneppers have spent two decades shaping a groove-led sound built on organic keys, tight percussion and melodic basslines, often lifted by soulful guest vocals. From Boogie Angst to Scirocco, their albums trace an easy line between slow-motion boogie and dancefloor pressure, while their Boogie Angst label extends the story through fresh releases and remixes.

On stage, they blur studio finesse with live momentum, threading crate-dug influences into contemporary club textures. You’ll hear rubbery bass, crisp drums and hooks that linger, with nods to collaborations involving Ben Westbeech, Lee Fields and the late Romanthony. Whether they dip into downtempo moods or push the tempo, Kraak & Smaak let grooves breathe, build and lock in, drawing on twenty years of cuts designed for movement.
