The Electric Swing Circus

On 5 December 2026 at Norwich Arts Centre in Norwich, The Electric Swing Circus bring their six-piece live blend of 1920s swing and contemporary club rhythms. With two lead vocalists up front, a tight rhythm section and electronic arrangements, they flip vintage melodies and cabaret inflections into house pulses, big beat breaks, rock touches and straight-up electronica, all guided by a swing sensibility. The set moves fluidly between syncopated shuffles, bass-driven grooves and rock’n’roll bounce, stitching eras together without losing the thread. Layered harmonies and sequenced textures trade places as the band shifts gears, stacking hooks and rhythmic twists aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Originals sit alongside reworked standards filtered through their sound, so you hear the 20s reframed by modern production rather than frozen in nostalgia. It’s a live format built on interplay: six musicians locking into quick-cut arrangements, well-timed drops and builds, with beats that keep the tempo up while letting the vocals carry the swing.
