SOFY

Leicester-born songwriter SOFY brings her alt-pop blend to Thekla in Bristol on 5 October 2026. Her writing pulls from several British lineages at once: trip-hop tension, Britpop’s melodic punch, and a streak of garage rock energy. Starting out independently, she let early demos circulate before any official release; BBC Radio 1 picked them up, with nods from Arlo Parks, Sam Fender and Yungblud. That first wave of attention carried her onto stages from Glastonbury to compact headline rooms, while she built a catalogue of singles, two EPs and two long-form mixtapes.

Part of a new UK guitar scene that isn’t shy of darker textures, direct hooks and everyday detail, SOFY has shared bills and opening slots with Liam Gallagher and Sabrina Carpenter, and her tracks have featured on the EA Sports FC soundtrack. Live, she keeps a pop backbone but leans into grit and contrast, with arrangements that push the choruses forward without sanding down the edges.
