Info
Little Barrie hit YES, Manchester on 24 September 2026 for a night anchored by their lean, groove-first rock. Led by guitarist and singer Barrie Cadogan, the band came up in the late 1990s with a sound that folds garage swagger into psych shades, R&B snap, funk pulse and soul undertones. Early singles and the albums We Are Little Barrie (2005) and Stand Your Ground (2006) laid down a tight, direct approach, which opened up across King of the Waves (2011) and Shadow (2015) with looser writing and a stronger blues current. After the passing of drummer Virgil Howe in 2017, Cadogan and bassist Lewis Wharton kept the flame, teaming with Malcolm Catto for Quatermass Seven (2020) and Electric War (2025), then reclaiming the original banner on Gravity Freeze (2024). On stage, expect crisp guitar lines, compact rhythms and songs that connect the dots between the band’s early punch and their later, more textured work, with new cuts rubbing shoulders with catalogue staples. Plus support.
