Bleech 9:3

Bleech 9:3 bring their taut alt-rock to The Cluny, Newcastle upon Tyne, on 8 December 2026. Formed between Dublin and Brixton, the quartet centres on songwriters Barry Quinlan and Sam Duffy, with James Quinlan on bass and Luke O’Neill on drums. Their writing leans on clear, clipped melodies set against heavily driven guitars, playing with contrasts between restraint and release. The result is direct and melodic, with an undercurrent of tension that shapes both the songs and their stage presence.

Early tracks like Ceiling and Jacky map out a visual, introspective world while keeping arrangements lean and purposeful. The band has sharpened its live identity across London rooms, opening for Shame and Keo and holding a three-night residency at the Blue Basement. On stage, the dynamic stays tight: sharp hooks up front, a rhythm section that pushes without overcrowding, and a constant back-and-forth between quiet edges and heavier surges.
