Alela Diane

Alela Diane brings her folk songwriting to EartH, London, on 4 October 2026. Raised in Nevada City, California, in a family of musicians, she has built since the early 2000s a body of songs anchored in voice and guitar. The Pirate’s Gospel first set her stripped-back tone, extended on To Be Still, before a fuller band moment with Alela Diane & Wild Divine. She returned to a more intimate register on About Farewell, explored instrumental contours with Ryan Francesconi on Cold Moon, then folded piano, discreet strings and a hint of country into Cusp and Looking Glass.

On stage, Diane favors close listening over volume: fingerpicked patterns, clear melodies and unhurried phrasing that leave space around each line. The set in London should span her catalogue, from early staples to more recent pieces, often revisited with subtle shifts in tempo or arrangement. At EartH, that restrained approach meets a room suited to detail, inviting the audience into the quiet pulse of her writing.
