White Denim

White Denim hit The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne on 31 August 2026. Formed in Austin in 2006, the band forged a sound that splices garage rock, psychedelia, soul, blues, jazz fusion and prog, with quick left turns, shifting structures and room for improvisation. Fronted by singer-guitarist James Petralli with longtime bassist Steve Terebecki, the project has evolved through several lineups while keeping that elastic approach. Early releases like Workout Holiday, Exposion and Fits set the tone; D and Corsicana Lemonade leaned into classic rock colours without dropping the experimental thread. Stiff, Performance and Side Effects followed from their Radio Milk studio in Austin, then World as a Waiting Room, a 2023 link-up with Raze Regal, and 12 in 2024.

On stage, White Denim knit tight hooks to heady turnarounds, sliding from compact riffs into open-ended passages without losing the groove. The set is poised to pull from across their catalogue, with new cuts from 12 alongside long-running favourites, delivered with the loose-meets-tight interplay that defines the band.
