Automatic bring their lean LA post-punk to MOTH Club, London, on 3 September 2026. Formed in the city’s DIY scene in 2017, the trio — Izzy Glaudini (vocals, synths), Halle Saxon (bass) and Lola Dompé (drums) — writes with economy and pulse. Dry, metronomic drums, bass lines pushed up front and minimal keyboards shape tracks that slide between no wave edges, indie rock grit and a colder, retro-tinged pop. All three voices trade leads and harmonies, tightening the songs rather than smoothing them.

Signed to Stones Throw, the group set its template on Signal (2019), reworked it on Signal Remixes (2021), then widened the frame with Excess (2022), leaning into sharper hooks and a more dance-oriented tilt without dropping the tension. After sharing stages with Parquet Courts, IDLES, Tame Impala and The Marías, Automatic returned with Is It Now? (2025), a third album that hones patterns, brevity and the balance between austerity and immediacy. Live, that focus comes through in steady grooves, clipped rhythms and hypnotic repetition — a tight, direct set built from bass, drum and synth lines that lock in and don’t let go.
