Purity Ring

Purity Ring bring their crystalline electronic pop to HERE at Outernet in London on 18 June 2026. The Edmonton duo of vocalist-lyricist Megan James and producer Corin Roddick opens a new chapter with a self-titled fourth album conceived as the soundtrack to an imagined RPG. Inspired by Nier Automata and Final Fantasy X, the record follows two hapless figures — projections of James and Roddick — navigating a shattered world and piecing together something gentler from its remnants.

On stage, Purity Ring extends that narrative thread with a live setup that reworks their catalog around James’s distinctive vocals, pitch-shifted harmonies and melodic synth patterns. Beats draw from hip-hop and synthpop, while textures lean toward the dreamlike and minimal. Tracks that put them on the map with Shrines and the sleeker writing of Another Eternity meet the intimate atmospheres of WOMB, alongside new material from the concept album. It’s a set shaped for narrative flow as much as impact, with Roddick’s detailed production framing James’s presence to pull their RPG world into the room.
