Info
On 22 May 2026 at Patterns, Brighton and Hove, Swiss quartet Lone Assembly bring a blend of new wave, romantic synthpop and dark, melancholic post-punk. Formed by Raphaël Bressler (vocals, keyboards), Glenn Le Meur (guitar), Jim Bodeman (bass) and Romain Segu (drums), the band first surfaced in 2024 with the EP That Never Happened, a release steeped in themes of grief, emotional distance and vulnerability, pairing crisp modern production with icy ’80s cold-wave textures.
Their debut album Knots & Chains pushes further: thunderous basslines, hypnotic rhythms, reverb-drenched guitars and atmospheric synths frame Bressler’s deep, resonant voice. On stage, the quartet’s gothic-tinged visuals and tight dynamics have built a following across new-wave and dark-wave circles, with a clear pop streak running through the hooks.
Ro Nova, a London-based singer, writer and producer, shapes electropop where ’80s-leaning synths meet weightless vocals, nostalgic yet forward-facing. Since her debut single do you think it’s fine?, she has picked up attention from BBC Radio 1, BBC London and Reprezent Radio, with support from Harriet Rose (KISS FM) and James Threlfall (BBC Introducing). Her set balances direct melodies and ethereal atmospheres with a modern pop pulse.
