Chance Peña

On 14 May 2026 at SWG3 Glasgow, Chance Peña brings his folk-rooted songwriting to the stage. Raised in East Texas and signed at 17 to Secret Road Music Publishing, he built his name on finely drawn stories and understated melodies. His song Up, Up & Away, heard in the film Five Feet Apart, opened doors, as did his collaboration with John Legend on Conversations in the Dark, which earned a Grammy nomination. Since then, he has carved out a space between minimalist folk, sensitive pop and hushed production.

With Ever-Shifting, Continual Blossoming, Peña leaned into organic textures and immersive arrangements. The follow-up, When I Change My Mind I Don’t Mean It, written in a California cabin, strips things back further for a more introspective tone. On stage, his set blends close-mic’d vocals, fingerpicked guitar and subtle electronics, moving from contemplative ballads to gently pulsing tracks. After dates alongside The Lumineers and Tom Odell across the US and Europe, he stops in Glasgow with songs that chart his path so far, from early standouts to recent material.
