The View

The View broke through in 2007 with their debut album Hats Off to the Buskers, a lean mix of indie rock with punk and pop edges, carried by tracks like Wasted Little DJs and Same Jeans. Twenty years on, the Scottish band marks the milestone with a dedicated anniversary tour, landing at NX Newcastle in Newcastle upon Tyne on 25 February 2027 to celebrate the record that set their course.

Formed in Dundee around Kyle Falconer and Kieren Webster with Pete Reilly, The View built their name on brisk guitars, direct choruses and a distinct Scottish twang. After a pause in 2017, they returned in 2022 and kept moving with Exorcism of Youth in 2023. On stage, this anniversary looks back to the sharp, melodic writing of Hats Off to the Buskers while tracing lines through the rest of their catalogue, from Which Bitch? to Ropewalk. Early singles sit alongside later cuts, played with the energy that took them from local gigs to major UK stages, for a set rooted in what first made their songs stick.
