Shed Seven

Shed Seven bring their indie rock catalogue back to Cardiff with a set that spans three decades. Formed in York in 1990 with Rick Witter on vocals and Tom Gladwin on bass, the band made its mark in the britpop era with melodic guitars and direct, catchy choruses. On stage, the current line-up keeps the songs lean and energetic: guitars alternate grit and melody, the rhythm section stays tight, and keys add just enough colour to lift the refrains.

The show pulls from across their discography. Early tracks from Change Giver and A Maximum High sit alongside later material from Instant Pleasures and 2024’s A Matter of Time, with some reworked cuts aired on Liquid Gold. The set moves between sharp, chiming riffs and slower, more expansive moods, tracing a clear line from the band’s 90s roots to its recent studio returns without leaning on nostalgia.
