Info
The Farmer’s Bash brings together country and pop voices at Ormeau Park in Belfast on 12 June 2026, with a line-up built for singalongs and straight-ahead storytelling: Derek Ryan, Lisa McHugh and Boyzlife.
Derek Ryan steps in with the country-and-Irish blend he has shaped since leaving pop outfit D-Side. Drawing on folk roots and pop instincts, his set balances ballads, lively crowd numbers and a few well-chosen covers. Over the years he has written, recorded and toured at pace, from A Mother’s Son to Soft Ground, Pure & Simple and Long Shot Love, and he has shared stages and studios with Sharon Shannon, Philomena Begley and others. Expect a clear, melodic approach that keeps the focus on the song.
Glasgow-born with Irish roots, Lisa McHugh adds a modern country edge with crisp vocals and radio-friendly hooks. Based for years in Enniskillen, she has built a catalogue that mixes ballads and upbeat tracks, from Old Fashioned Girl and Dreams Come to Life to Watch Me, alongside a live album recorded on the road. Her path has crossed with many on the Irish circuit, and a Grand Ole Opry appearance in 2012 confirmed her ease on big stages.
Boyzlife, the duo uniting former members of Boyzone and Westlife, brings a pop thread to the night, grounded in tight harmonies and a catalogue that marked the late 90s and 2000s. Their presence rounds out a bill that moves naturally between country warmth and familiar pop melodies.
