Ye Vagabonds

Ye Vagabonds bring their contemporary Irish folk to Brewery Arts in Kendal on 4 June 2026. Led by brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn, the project grew from busking into a flexible collective where layered acoustic and electric guitars sit alongside trumpet, upright bass, Moog synthesizer, harmonium, bouzouki and fiddle. At the core are the siblings’ close harmonies and unadorned vocals, a thread running through songs drawn from tradition and original writing.

Winners of Best Track, Best Album and Best Folk Group at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards, Ye Vagabonds build arrangements that leave space for the song while opening to new textures. Their new studio album, All Tied Together, recorded mostly live in an old house in Galway with producer Phil Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker), was released in January 2026 on Rough Trade / River Lea. On stage, the band carries that live-room approach into a set that spans ballads, instrumentals and unison songs.
