Info

Bloc Party and Interpol join forces for a co-headline date at Utilita Arena Birmingham on 20 November 2026. Two distinct visions of guitar music meet on the same stage, tracing the arc of the 2000s indie and post-punk revival through to today.

Interpol, the New York trio of Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler and Sam Fogarino, emerged at the turn of the millennium with a sound of taut rhythms, serrated guitars and a baritone steeped in urban melancholy. From Turn On the Bright Lights and its cornerstones PDA, Obstacle 1 and NYC to Antics, Our Love to Admire, El Pintor and The Other Side of Make-Believe, they’ve honed a precise, nocturnal tension that carries from record to stage.

Bloc Party, formed in London by Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack, made early waves with the EPs Bloc Party and Little Thoughts before breaking through with Silent Alarm in 2005, followed by A Weekend in the City and the comeback album Four. Angular guitars, motorik-inflected drums and nimble dynamics shape their mix of post-punk bite and dance-floor snap. Together on this tour, the two bands offer a back-to-back journey through their catalogues, each bringing a distinct energy to the same room.
