Info

Kingfishr bring their Limerick-born folk–indie blend to Edinburgh Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on 26 August 2026. Formed during university, the trio — singer-guitarist Eddie Keogh with bandmates McGoo and Fitz — write songs that lean on acoustic guitars, unhurried percussion and tight vocal harmonies. Their lyrics circle landscapes, family ties and the shifts that come with growing up, set to melodies that start intimate and gradually open out.

On stage, the band keeps arrangements clear and direct: picked chords up front, drums that leave space, and harmonies that carry the chorus. The set moves between hushed ballads and fuller, alternative-leaning passages, with crescendos that arrive without fuss. Singles like Flowers-Fire and Anyway sketch the palette — warm guitar tones, steady builds, hooks that linger.

In recent years, gigs across Ireland and the UK have helped Kingfishr refine a live approach grounded in craft rather than gloss. At Edinburgh Corn Exchange, the trio’s close interplay, clean dynamics and unadorned arrangements bring the stories to the fore.
