An evening of music from Motown, soul, and funk with Summit Soul featuring Alex Charles.
Alex Charles is a soul singer and former member of the Grammy-winning funk band Heatwave, known for chart-topping hits such as Boogie Nights and Always and Forever. He is also the lead singer on the 80s hit Funky Sensation with Ladies Choice and the garage track So Beautiful with DJ Innocence. He performs with his band a set of musical classics by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Jimmy Cliff, Nat King Cole, Elvis, Little Richard, along with his gospel originals.
With a rich, soulful voice, Alex Charles brings classic hits to life. His work includes Funky Sensation and So Beautiful, and a 25-year stint as lead singer of Heatwave.
