The Hu « Warrior Chant Tour »

The HU brings the Warrior Chant Tour to O2 Academy Glasgow on 29 September 2026. Formed in Ulaanbaatar in 2016, the Mongolian band has carved out its own path with a sound they call hunnu rock, where throat singing and traditional instruments meet down-tuned guitars and punchy rhythms. On stage, that blend becomes a physical chant: riffs lock in with collective vocals, melodies echo the steppe, and the groove stays taut and heavy without losing its trance-like pull.

The set draws on their breakout tracks Yuve Yuve Yu and Wolf Totem, alongside cuts from their debut album The Gereg and the more muscular Rumble of Thunder. Years of touring across Asia, Europe and North America have sharpened their dynamics, and collaborations with artists like Serj Tankian or Jacoby Shaddix have fed into arrangements that bridge Mongolian heritage and contemporary metal without gimmicks. In Glasgow, The HU channels that mix into a live ritual that leans on pulse, repetition and chorus, carried by voices and strings as much as by the weight of the amps.
