The blues artist from Liverpool has opened for the likes of Ringo Starr, Sir Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Walter Trout and Status Quo.

After joining Buddy Guy on stage to jam and experience the blues firsthand, Buddy remarked, "He's like a young Eric Clapton."

Laurence has released his first solo acoustic album, 'On My Own'. It is an intimate record that explores recent health struggles and takes him back to his roots.

The album marks a new chapter for Jones, following what he describes as a difficult year battling Crohn's disease. Written during a flare-up, 'On My Own' reflects truths about living with this invisible illness, love, and life on the road. For Jones, it represents both survival and reinvention. Dr's orders meant Jones had to rethink his high-energy stage performances, trading constant movement for a set-up that allows him to sit and play. The change sparked a new creative path that is raw and organic, offering a side of him fans have not seen before. Living with Crohn's disease has shaped not only Jones's music but also his perspective; as an ambassador for Crohn's & Colitis UK, he hopes the album will resonate with others facing any struggles and an invisible disease.

Determined to do things differently, he set up his own label, Ron Records, named in memory of his grandfather. 'On My Own' is a story-driven record, weaving traditional blues with honest autobiographical storytelling. His classical guitar training began at age 8, and he completed his Grade 8 with distinction, now fused with his lifelong passion for the blues and paying homage to some of his blues heroes like Robert Johnson and Lightnin' Hopkins.

Despite his health challenges, Jones continues to add to a career that includes multiple British Blues Awards, over 50,000 albums sold worldwide, and a number-one album in the Official UK Jazz & Blues Chart. This time, however, the focus is less on charts and accolades and more on telling his story through stripped-down blues.
