Hothouse Flowers

Hothouse Flowers touch down at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on 11 November 2026 with the blend they have honed since their Dublin busking days: rock infused with folk, soul, gospel and the colours of Irish traditional music. Fronted by Liam Ó Maonlaí’s voice and piano, with Fiachna Ó Braonáin on guitar and Peter O’Toole on strings, the band moves from earthy grooves to hushed acoustic passages, sustained by close harmonies and rhythmic shifts that keep the songs alive on stage.

The set draws on their entire career, from early albums People, Home and Songs from the Rain to later returns such as Born and Into Your Heart, as well as more recent material. Flexible arrangements, a cappella passages and bursts of bodhrán or whistle can surface over the course of the concert, reflecting the band’s origins and their taste for stylistic blends. Ever in motion, Hothouse Flowers play their songs as stories to be revisited rather than as frozen postcards, anchored by a core of seasoned musicians and a collective energy that favours listening and the impulse of the moment.
