The Shires

The Shires bring a distinctly British take on country-pop to The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, on 3 November 2026. Formed in 2013 by Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, the duo built their sound around close harmonies and storytelling that nods to Nashville while keeping their English roots in view. Their set moves between acoustic tenderness and catchy, melodic choruses, with lyrics drawn from everyday life and relationships. Across Brave, My Universe, Accidentally on Purpose, Good Years and 10 Year Plan, they’ve shaped a catalogue that balances reflective ballads and upbeat pop-country, always centred on the interplay between Rhodes’s lead and Earle’s harmonies. First UK country act to sign with a major Nashville label, they’ve stayed close to the British scene while forging links stateside, and have toured alongside Little Big Town, The Corrs, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Tom Jones and Tears for Fears. On stage, The Shires reconnect the dots between Nashville polish and homegrown sensibility, revisiting highlights and opening the door to what comes next.
