James Morrison

James Morrison plays Bristol Beacon in Bristol on 26 May 2026. Born in Rugby and shaped between Cornwall and the open-mic circuit in Derby, he’s forged a distinctive, raspy tenor that blends soul with pop rock and acoustic folk. Since his debut Undiscovered in 2006, he’s extended that mix across Songs for You, Truths for Me, The Awakening, Higher Than Here and You’re Stronger Than You Know, moving between ballads, mid-tempos and R&B-tinged grooves. On stage, the focus stays on voice, melody and stripped-back arrangements: guitar and piano up front, with songs that tell stories without fuss.

Known for collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Jason Mraz, Jessie J and Joss Stone, Morrison also writes for other artists, yet live he brings it back to essentials, revisiting early tracks alongside more recent material.
