Boys Like Girls bring their guitar-driven pop rock to O2 Academy Bristol on 13 July 2026. Formed in Massachusetts in 2005, the band emerged from the mid-2000s emo-pop and pop-punk scene, building an audience online before touring Warped Tour and The Bamboozle. Led by singer-guitarist Martin Johnson with drummer John Keefe, they shaped a sound of bright guitars, tight dynamics and melodic choruses, from the self-titled debut and Love Drunk — which includes Two Is Better Than One with Taylor Swift — to the more country-tinged Crazy World. After a quieter period while Johnson pursued The Night Game, the group returned with Sunday at Foxwoods in 2023 and a refreshed lineup now featuring Gregory James and Jamel Hawke. On stage, Boys Like Girls line up songs that balance pop craft and punk energy, revisiting early favorites alongside newer material.
