Glasgow’s Del Amitri take the stage with the blend of pop craft, jangling guitars and a subtly melancholic tone that has marked their path since 1980. Built around singer-bassist and principal songwriter Justin Currie with longtime guitarist Iain Harvie, the band honed its writing through Waking Hours and Change Everything, then pushed into the mid-90s with Twisted and Some Other Sucker’s Parade. Songs like Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know and Roll to Me tell everyday stories with melodies that stick, somewhere between jangle-pop and taut, guitar-driven rock.

After a long pause, Del Amitri picked up the thread with Fatal Mistakes in 2021, a return that underlined the continuity of their songwriting: clear guitars, direct hooks, and lyrics that keep their dry edge. On 10 November 2026 at The LCR, Earlham Road, Norwich, they revisit that catalogue on stage, drawing a line from their early days to more recent material without losing the balance that defines them. A set shaped by melody first, guitar bite second, and that particular Scottish sense of understatement running through it.
