Dancehall x Afro Fusion

On 22 May 2026 at The Great Hall, Cardiff, Dancehall X Afro Fusion lands in town with a bill that puts dancehall and afrobeats side by side. Live sets come from Teejay, NSG, Rara, Frass and Lady Leshurr, with more to be announced.

Formed in Hackney, East London, NSG is a six-strong collective whose sound bridges UK hip-hop, grime, afroswing and afro-Caribbean grooves. From early singles to their album Area Boyz, the crew has built a catalogue shaped by rotating voices, sung hooks and club-ready rhythms.

Around them, Teejay carries the flag for contemporary dancehall, while Rara and Frass push raw island cuts. Lady Leshurr folds in the punch of UK rap, shifting pace and patter over bass-heavy beats.

On the decks, DJ Prime, DJ Denny Hus, DJ Deo and DJ Pandora link dancehall, afrobeats, house, R&B and hip-hop, with DJ Prime and DJ Deo hosting throughout. A straight-up fusion night, driven by riddims and back-to-back talent, right in the heart of Cardiff.
