Kingfishr

Kingfishr bring their contemporary Irish folk and indie sound to The SSE Arena Belfast on 8 June 2026. Formed in Limerick during their university years, the trio unites singer-guitarist Eddie Keogh with bandmates McGoo and Fitz. Their writing blends melodic folk with subtle alternative rock edges and light indie pop touches. Close vocal harmonies, an acoustic guitar core and restrained percussion support lyrics that look toward landscapes, family bonds and the step into adulthood.

The band first drew attention by sharing songs online before rolling out singles such as Flowers-Fire and Anyway, which set the tone with wide choruses and gradual builds. On stage across Ireland and the UK, they have moved from small rooms to festival slots, shaping a live approach that keeps arrangements clear and the energy steady. In Belfast, they present material that traces their path so far, from early tracks to more recent releases, with dynamics that rise without clutter and a focus on melody and voice.
