Lionheart

On June 29, 2026, Lionheart bring hardcore from California to the Garage in Saarbrücken. Founded in Oakland in 2004 and built around frontman Rob Watson, the band mixes hardcore punk, metalcore and beatdown: 2-step grooves, massive guitars and direct, forward-driving vocals. With the EP This Means War (2006) and their debut album The Will to Survive (2007), the quintet made a name for themselves on the West Coast scene, followed by Built on Struggle (2011) and Undisputed (2012). Early tours took them across the USA and Europe, with regular stops on the hardcore festival circuit on this side of the Atlantic. After Welcome to the West Coast (2014) and Love Don’t Live Here (2016) they took a short break before returning in 2017: Welcome to the West Coast II was released that year, followed by Valley of Death (2019) and Welcome to the West Coast III (2022). Their direction has stayed consistent: compact, immediate and physical—between Bay Area hardcore and heavy metal hardcore. Groove sections, dense breakdowns and clear-cut messages are at the core of a set that aims directly for impact.
