Info

On 11 May 2026 at Bologna’s Locomotiv Club, Puma Blue — aka Jacob Allen, born in South London and now based in Atlanta — brings Croak Dream to the stage, the album released on Play It Again Sam. The record asks what would change if we knew how and when we would die, and pushes his sound toward a blend of trip-hop, dub techno, jungle and experimental electronic music. Also born from improvisations later turned into loops and from live takes at Real World with Sam Petts-Davies, the album alternates raw, visceral passages with nocturnal, dreamlike atmospheres. Desire, the first single, which began as a draft recorded in a hotel, set the course for this rough, suspended universe. Both continuing and breaking with Holy Waters and the experiments of antichamber and extchamber, Puma Blue’s live show plays on emotional tension, between intimacy and bursts of band energy.

With him is Tony Njoku, a London artist of British and Nigerian heritage. A singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he constructs songs where falsetto and synths intertwine with ambient and modern-classical textures and a hip-hop with fluid boundaries. His writing moves between songcraft, electronics and abstraction, emphasising layered textures, iterative motifs and a sense of rhythm that advances through impulses and suspensions. In 2025 he released All Our Knives Are Always Sharp, which expanded his collective horizon; on stage he brings that hybrid, tactile approach, combining vocal intensity with meticulous attention to sonic detail.
