Biga Ranx plays Montréal on October 25, 2026 at MTELUS. Raised in Tours, he tuned in early to Jamaica’s spectrum, from Alton Ellis to Vybz Kartel, while following US hip-hop. In 2004 he launched his own sound system and hit the road, then formed Mus Bus with Governor General Rugged, shaping a live practice built on toasting, melodic hooks and heavy riddims. The breakthrough came with On Time in 2011 on X-Ray, opening doors to festivals, club nights and remixes by Tom Fire and Chinese Man. He returned in 2013 with Good Morning Midnight, honing dub-leaning textures and plainspoken songwriting. On stage, Biga Ranx strings together bass-forward cuts and light-footed melodies, shifting tempos with ease and keeping the vibe warm and direct. The set draws on early standouts and later collaborations, carried by the energy of an artist who learned his craft in front of sound system stacks.
