On July 15, 2026 at Lokverkstan in Motala, Sweden, Markus Krunegård and Hurula share the bill for a concert that traces two paths of Swedish rock.
Markus Krunegård, first known as the voice of Laakso and Hets!, has built a solo catalog where taut pop meets indie rock contours. His songs pivot between spoken tension and more lyrical lines, with writing that stays direct and personal. Since his debut Markusevangeliet (2008), he’s kept moving: Prinsen av Peking and Lev som en gris, dö som en hund, then Mänsklig värme and Rastlöst blod, followed by the twin 2021 releases TUTTI FRUTTI – från lokalen under sushin and Kemtvätten. Nokia & Ericsson (2023) is his first album entirely in Finnish, a nod to his Swedish‑Finnish background. Side projects with Kleerup, Adam Olenius and Patrik Berger, plus work for Veronica Maggio or Miriam Bryant, feed a flexible live approach.
Hurula comes from the punk and hardcore circuits of Luleå — Masshysteri, The Vicious, Regulations — before going solo in 2014. He keeps the direct hit of that scene but frames it in Swedish‑sung rock: melodic punk, post‑punk edges, tight guitars, and plain‑spoken narratives with a social undertow.
