Hardcore Superstar

Hardcore Superstar brings its Gothenburg-bred blend of glam, sleaze and hard rock to Sara kulturhus in Skellefteå on 6 November 2026. Formed in 1997 by vocalist Jocke Berg and bassist Martin Sandvik, the band has long walked the line between sharp hooks and a rougher rock’n’roll edge, first breaking out with Bad Sneakers and a Piña Colada after the debut It’s Only Rock ’n’ Roll. Early tours with Backyard Babies, Motörhead and Dio set the tone before a heavier “street metal” turn on the self-titled 2005 album and Dreamin’ in a Casket. Since guitarist Vic Zino joined in 2008, the quartet has refined that balance across Beg for It, Split Your Lip, C’mon Take on Me, HCSS, You Can’t Kill My Rock ’n’ Roll and Abrakadabra.

On stage, Berg’s rasped melodies cut through Adde Andreasson’s tight drums and Sandvik’s driving bass, while Zino stacks chunky riffs with quick-fire solos. The set draws across eras, stitching together big choruses, mid-tempo stompers and a few faster bursts, without straying from the straight-ahead spirit that roots the group in Gothenburg’s hard rock tradition.
