Sibeliustalon kesä: Happoradio

Happoradio brings its Finnish-language melodic rock to Sibeliustalo in Lahti on 8 July 2026. Formed in Helsinki in 2001, the band writes direct, pop-tinged songs built on guitars, bass, drums and keyboards, often with a cool, introspective edge. Early singles Pahoille teille and Pois Kalliosta put them on the map in the 2000s, followed by albums that trace a clear line: Asemalla (2003), Pienet ja keskisuuret elämät (2004), Vuosipäivä (2006), Kaunis minä (2008) and Puolimieli (2010). The story continues with Elefantti (2014), Kauniin kääntöpiiri (2017) and Majakka (2021), alongside tracks like Tavikset, Che Guevara, Ahmat tulevat and Pelastaja.

On stage, singer-guitarist Aki Tykki fronts a full band with Mika “AH” Haapasalo, Jatu Motti, Markku DeFrost and Klaus Suominen. Expect a set that moves across their catalogue, where guitar lines, tight rhythms and understated keys carry lyrics that keep things plain and close to the bone. A concert grounded in songs, dynamics and the collective pulse of a band that has grown album after album, in the distinctive acoustics of Sibeliustalo.
