On 18 September 2026, IJM Live lands at the IJzeren Man in Vught. BLØF brings their Dutch-language pop-rock: clear melodies, guitar lines that leave space for keyboards, and lyrics that touch on the everyday and the personal. Centered on singer-guitarist Paskal Jakobsen, alongside Peter Slager, Bas Kennis and drummer Norman Bonink, the set alternates between driven songs and more restrained material. Expect a programme that links the old with the new, making room for songs like “Liefs uit Londen” and “Omarm,” possibly complemented by “Zoutelande,” alongside more recent material. Live, BLØF explores the tension between melancholy and drive, with choruses that beg to be sung along to without obscuring the story.
Son Mieux, from The Hague and led by Camiel Meiresonne, offers a broadly layered pop counterpart. Guitars, strings, synths and a solid rhythm section build toward choruses that open up; backing vocals give the songs a collective charge. The band nudges their indie roots toward the dance floor with influences from disco and folk, while keeping the song at the center. On stage it’s about dynamics and interplay: arcs of tension, breaks and a direct interaction with the audience. Expect material from Faire de Son Mieux and The Mustard Seed, in arrangements that put the energy of the moment first.
