On November 20, 2026, SLIFT lands at the Antipode in Rennes with its stage-ready psychedelic rock. Born in Toulouse around brothers Jean and Rémi Fossat, supported by drummer Canek Flores, the trio has progressed since the mid-2010s along a line running between nerve-wracking garage, weightless space rock, and kraut pulsations, with just enough stoner heaviness when the riffs thicken. After the EP Space Is The Key, more direct and compact, SLIFT stretched the format on La Planète Inexplorée, then broadened its scope with UMMON: long repetitive pieces, incantatory vocals, saturated textures and a continuous build. With ILION (2024, Sub Pop), the band pushes its constructions further, massive yet melodic, at the frontier of contemporary psychedelia and heavier metal touches. In live performances, SLIFT favors immersive sets, conceived as a single block, where raw energy and cosmic excursions respond to one another without a pause.
