Les musiques de John Williams et Hans Zimmer

New program. After a 2025 tour, “The Music of John Williams and Hans Zimmer in Symphonic Concert” returns in February and March 2027. In Toulouse, on 14 February 2027 at 4:00 PM at Zénith Toulouse Métropole, rediscover film music performed by more than 70 musicians on stage. On the program: Interstellar, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Inception, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Under the direction of conductor Nicolas Simon, the Yellow Socks Orchestra, a French symphony orchestra specializing in film music, will perform the works of these two composers in concert.

John Williams has shaped film music since the 1970s. The regular composer for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, he wrote the scores for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws and the Indiana Jones films. His melodic themes, recognizable from the very first notes, helped bring the symphony orchestra back to the forefront of cinema. He has won 5 Academy Awards and received 54 nominations; his work spans generations.

Hans Zimmer, a German-born composer who later became an American citizen, has blended orchestral writing with electronic sounds. His collaborations with Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar) and Ridley Scott (Gladiator) have left a lasting mark on contemporary cinema. He has won 2 Academy Awards.

For nearly two hours, the program travels through these musical canvases that have shaped the history of film.

This production honors the music of Hans Zimmer and John Williams. The composers will not be present on stage. The Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform their music under the direction of Nicolas Simon.
