Bummelkasten

Bummelkasten is back in Berlin: on 28 June 2026 the Berlin-based vocal performer will take the stage at the Freilichtbühne Weißensee. Behind the name is Bernhard Lütke, a one-man orchestra that works entirely without instruments. Everything you hear comes from the mouth: beats, basslines, choirs and a lot of sounds. Using a loop station and a cappella arrangements, he layers patterns, builds grooves, breaks them down again and lets small worlds emerge.

His lyrics stay close to everyday life and to children’s imagination, without excluding adults. Wordplay, rhymes and dry humour meet characters and mini-scenes that shift live between music and theatre. The result is a set that engages children just as much as their companions. Those who know his videos will recognise classics like “Rolltreppenmax”; at the same time, Bummelkasten brings new pieces that will find their form outdoors for the first time.

At the Freilichtbühne Weißensee he presents his solo in concentrated form: just voice, loop station, play. Direct, physical and up close – a concert that appeals to families, groups of friends and anyone who’s in the mood for playful pop moments.
