Bye Parula « Something Out of Nothing »

On June 4, 2026 at Rough Trade Berlin, Montreal art-pop trio Bye Parula celebrate the release of their second album, Something Out of Nothing, with a live set followed by a signing. Built around Loïc Calatayud-Sola, Sebastián Riquelme and Sergio D’Isanto, the group writes at the crossroads of indie rock, folk and art-pop, with clear melodies, detailed arrangements and rhythms that carry a light funk and R&B tint.

On stage, they keep it close to the core: bass, guitar, drums and voices in tight conversation. The new songs widen the palette while turning the writing inward, sliding between hushed passages and a more urban pulse. Melodies stay supple, dynamics breathe, and textures shift from acoustic intimacy to sharper, percussive edges. The set leans on interplay and contrast, letting the pieces unfold in small movements rather than big gestures.
