Dame Area has played over 300 live shows in Europe and the Americas.
They have performed at festivals such as Atonal, CTM, Nuits Sonores, Grauzone, Dour, Fusion and Eurosonic, as well as at clubs including Berghain, Tresor and Apolo. Recently they recorded a session for KEXP in Seattle. The duo is Catalan–Italian.
With their latest album, "Toda la verdad sobre Dame Area", released on Mannequin Records, they have captured the energy of their live performances. The album blends Einstürzende Neubauten's percussion, flamenco's polyrhythms and electronic elements in the vein of Esplendor Geométrico and Suicide.
Their sense of dynamics draws on Sonic Youth's experimental rock, while the structures point toward Coil's avant-garde.
They represent an eclectic form of contemporary industrial music that unites hypnotic minimal-synth patterns and raw polyrhythms with elements of post-punk and EBM.
