On 18 July 2026 En Vogue will play at Musis Arnhem. The Oakland-formed quartet broke through in the early 1990s with an R&B sound that blended soul, pop and new jack swing, supported by elaborate harmonies. From Born to Sing (1990) to Funky Divas (1992) their profile grew, with production that embraced pop influences without abandoning its rhythm-and-blues foundation. After that came lineup changes and detours into soundtracks and collaborations, including work with Salt-N-Pepa. EV3 (1997), Masterpiece Theatre (2000) and Soul Flower (2004) marked new phases, while the core always remained the interplay of voices. Since the 2010s the group has been performing around Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron-Braggs and Rhona Bennett; Electric Café was released in 2018.

In Arnhem En Vogue will present a set built around close harmony, call-and-response and alternating leads. Tight grooves sit alongside sustained ballads, with arrangements that bring the vocal polyphony to the fore. The older material gets a fresh layer without losing its original feel, while more recent songs continue the thread toward modern R&B. The focus is on singing, timing and ensemble harmony, backed by a compact band that frames the whole solidly. An evening that makes their trajectory from the early years to the present audible, in one continuous story of melody and groove.
