Celine Cairo

On 16 October 2026 Celine Cairo will perform at Patronaat in Haarlem. The Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter moves between indie pop, modern folk and cinematic atmospheres. She primarily writes in English and builds her songs around a clear voice, guitar and piano, with subtle electronic layers and restrained rhythms. After early EPs at the start of the 2010s she drew attention within the Dutch scene, followed by the album Free Fall in 2016, partly recorded in London with musician and producer Fink. That album marked a move toward a more minimalist, atmospheric sound.

Since then Cairo has refined her intimate songcraft with careful attention to arrangement detail. Live she performs solo or with a band; in both settings the voice remains the anchor while the instrumentation breathes and has space. Recent releases reveal a melancholic, light pop in which acoustic and electronic elements alternate gently. On stage, layered songs feel close and immediate, with a focus on dynamics and timing. An opening act will start the evening.
